Head of Hospital Operations.

About The Role.

The Head of Hospital Operations will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hospital, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care, managing resources, and driving operational excellence across departments.

The role demands a strong leader with experience in healthcare operations, strategic planning, and team management.

This standardised title (Head of Hospital Operations) improves searchability and clarity for candidates and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily operations of the hospital, including clinical, administrative, and support services.

- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.

- Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and optimize resource utilization.

- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and accreditation requirements.

- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

- Coordinate with clinical teams to streamline patient flow, admissions, discharge, and care processes.

- Implement technology solutions and operational tools to enhance hospital performance.

- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in patient care, staff productivity, and operational efficiency.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports for senior management.

- Handle crisis management, risk assessment, and resolution of operational issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, or related field.

- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in hospital operations or healthcare management.

- Strong knowledge of hospital systems, processes, and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
