Position Description: Equity Research (Strategy) (Sell Side)  Role  Our research teams is an innovative team within our Global Research Division that uses real-time evidence to analyze the short-term performance of different global economies as well as their impact on near-term performance of companies. We are a data-driven group interested in applying new sources of information, as well as new techniques, in our research.  The associate will support a highly rated Macro Strategy teams and interact with the relevant teams in our global offices. Working within the Macro team, the candidate will provide analytical support to the team including:  - Performing data collation and analysis,  - Creating and maintaining information on databases etc.  - Working on financial fundamental and macro indicators  - Monitoring, analyzing and commenting on day-to-day happenings across regions and markets with the aim of identifying and highlighting key trends   - Keeping the team abreast with key investment debates.  - Conducting basic statistical analysis for macro theme  Location: Gurgaon   Educational Requirements:  - Post graduate/CA  - 4-8 years of Financial/ Industry experience  - Strong academic record, quantitative skills and an interest in and understanding of financial markets  Skills Required:  - Ability to understand and analyze economic and financial data  - Excellent skills relating to data manipulation and interpretation  - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  - Strong advanced Excel skills  - Ability to synthesize research findings  - Ability to write summary reports  - Knowledge of VBA and statistical analysis tools will be an added advantage  - Interpersonal Skills  - Strong communication skills - written and verbal (principally telephone)  - Initiative/Ability to be pro-active  - Problem Solving/Questioning outlook  - Dedication/Resilience  - Ability to effectively work in a team  - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks  - Flexible approach to workload and demands of role  Other Skills  - Strong academic record, quantitative skills and an interest in and understanding of financial markets  - Any progress towards CFA (AIMR, USA) would be preferred  - Any experience in strategy will be a plus, though not a - must-have
