ASEAN Economics Research : The research associate (RA) would assist a Singapore-based top economics research team (the team) with one of our reputed investment banking clients. The team forecasts economic activity and monitors interest rates and policy developments (to be used in quantitative assessment) in ASEAN, Taiwan, and South Korea. The RA will provide assistance in macro research to the team, which will be used to help the team's end clients and the internal equity and fixed income / research sales team. The position also requires the RA to help the team in updating some of its regular research products and responding to client requests. Skill Set : - Strong background in macro and international economics - Good statistical understanding - Strong writing and communication skills - Strong knowledge of econometrics is an added advantage - Good analytical skills - Ability to meet tight deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks - Ability to identify proactive ways of contributing to the company's goals and mission - Should be open to work in early shift (reporting time: 7:00 AM IST) Education and Experience : - Post-graduate degree in economics and statistics/econometrics or MBA in finance, with strong interest in economics - 2-4 Years of working experience as an economist/academician or as a contributor to applied macroeconomic research projects
