Job Description:

- Monitor the supply base, ensure suppliers provide quality products, monitor their performance, evaluate corrective and preventive actions, and.

- Review and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvements and opportunities within the supply chain.

- Closely assist Unit SCM buyers to ensure on-time, in-full OK supply from suppliers.

- Conduct weekly reviews with suppliers, buyers, and Unit Heads to drive improvements.

- Ensure proper usage of tools at the supplier end with PM OKOTIF.

- Control risks at the supplier end through risk analysis and mitigation.

- Source new suppliers by following 720-degree best practices.

- Improve supplier performance by closely working with suppliers and CFT to enhance productivity and systems.

- Improve systems and deploy Lean Management techniques at suppliers, ensuring sustenance.

- Monitor supplier performance and assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.

- Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

- Conduct monthly reviews of vendor ratings.

- Implement KANBAN to achieve zero-line loss.

- Identify training needs of junior team members.

- Routinely assess supplier capacity to ensure zero bottlenecks.

- Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.

- Establish policies/OPCPs/frameworks to govern specific classes of decisions and enable delegation to junior staff.

Candidate Profile:

- Education: BE (Mechanical/Production) / B.Tech / DME.

- MBA in Supply Chain Management.

- BE with 1215 years of experience, or DME with 1417 years in production line management and knowledge of production processes.

- Hands-on experience in working with sheet metal, machining, plastic moulding, pressure die casting component suppliers, as well as finishing, plating, painting, and powder coating suppliers.

- Practical experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing systems at suppliers.

- Strong knowledge of supplier development and costing.

- Experience in managing profit and loss responsibilities in a manufacturing setup.
