
Key Responsibilities:
Government & Institutional Sales:
- Develop and execute sales strategies for Government, PSU, and institutional accounts.
- Drive revenue growth through central, state, and local government bodies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officials, and influencers.
- Identify new opportunities across ministries, departments, PSUs, and public sector undertakings.
Tendering & Bid Management:
- Track and analyze government tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and GEM portal opportunities.
- Lead end-to-end tender preparation, documentation, submission, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with internal teams (technical, finance, legal, SCM) for bid responses.
- Ensure compliance with government procurement policies and timelines.
Key Account Management:
- Manage existing institutional and government accounts to ensure repeat business.
- Handle contract negotiations, pricing approvals, and order finalization.
- Monitor order execution, delivery schedules, billing, and collections.
- Resolve client issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Stakeholder & Internal Coordination:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of government projects.
- Coordinate with logistics, supply chain, and operations teams for timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams for government-specific offerings.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Track competitor activity, pricing, and government procurement trends.
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and pipeline updates.
- Provide insights on policy changes, procurement norms, and upcoming opportunities.
Skills & Competencies:
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and policies.
- Hands-on experience with GEM Portal, e-tendering platforms, and institutional sales.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles and large-value deals.
- Strong documentation and compliance orientation.
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Experience in handling tender documentation, technical & commercial bids.
- Familiarity with contracts, SLAs, and government compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
