Company Profile : Investment Management Location : Mumbai, Maharastra Experience : 8-10+ Years Designation : E&S Consultant Responsibilities: 1. Work closely with Fund and EMSD team, portfolio funds, and portfolio companies on E&S policy and management. 2. Assess risk and impact, monitor, review, report, and improve performance. 3. Understand E&S reports, identify gaps, and collaborate with Fund Managers to enhance E&S standards. 4. Monitor Fund Managers to ensure investment decisions comply with E&S standards. 5. Guide portfolio funds on various E&S aspects, including due diligence, action plans, covenants, audits, impact assessments, and reporting. 6. Manage and coordinate 3rd party E&S advisers engaged by portfolio funds. 7. Share ESIA/ESDD/E&S performance reports with stakeholders and investors, addressing comments and tracking corrective actions. 8. Organize E&S training for portfolio companies and periodic calls, preparing meeting minutes, and tracking action items. Knowledge and Skill Set: - Knowledge of international E&S standards (IFC, ADB, AIIB, NDB, etc.) - Familiarity with EHSS systems and statutory requirements - Experience working with Private Equity, Financial intermediaries, or Impact consulting firms - Practical experience in projects funded by Multilateral Developmental banks (IFC, ADB, AIIB, NDB, etc.) - Monitoring and evaluation of E&S performance at portfolio investments - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Proficient in Word and Excel, report writing, MIS preparation, and problem-solving skills Education: - Masters in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Developmental Studies, or Sustainability Years of Experience: - 8-13 years in a relevant field General Experience: - Minimum 8 years in E&S risk assessment for domestic or international finance institutions - Practical knowledge of implementing safeguard policies and performance standards Sector Experience: - Alternative Investments, Private Equity, Impact Investment, Sustainable Finance, Social Infrastructure Investment, or conventional infrastructure investment
