Our client is a global top-tier consulting firm supporting large-scale ERP and enterprise transformation engagements for a manufacturing-focused end client operating across Steel, Cement, Chemicals, Energy, Infrastructure, and Paints sectors.

The ERP Consultant will support SAP S/4HANA transformation programs with a strong emphasis on AS-IS process assessments, target-state recommendations, and value realization analysis for core process industry manufacturing operations. The role requires strong process understanding, structured analysis, and consulting-grade communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support consulting firm case teams on SAP S/4HANA assessment and transformation engagements for process industry clients

- Conduct AS-IS process and system assessments across core manufacturing and enterprise processes

- Assess current SAP or legacy ERP landscapes and identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities

- Develop target-state process and ERP recommendations aligned with SAP S/4HANA best practices and industry benchmarks

- Perform ERP value assessments, including benefit identification, value sizing, and prioritization of improvement levers

- Support development of ERP transformation business cases and value realization roadmaps

- Create process documentation, assessment outputs, and transformation artifacts to support implementation readiness

- Translate analysis into clear, actionable, client-ready recommendations

- Build executive-ready PowerPoint decks aligned with consulting firm standards

- Develop structured storylines, charts, and exhibits with high standards of slide hygiene and visual clarity

- Support ERP PMO and assessment-phase governance, including milestone tracking, risks, and dependencies

Required Background & Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in ERP consulting, SAP transformation, or digital manufacturing initiatives

- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA with hands-on experience in process assessments and target-state design

- Proven experience delivering:

- AS-IS process assessments

- Target operating model / target-state recommendations

- ERP value and benefits assessments

- Prior experience supporting top-tier or boutique consulting firms strongly preferred

- Demonstrated exposure to manufacturing-sector clients (Steel, Cement, Chemicals, Energy)

- Solid understanding of end-to-end manufacturing and enterprise processes

- Advanced PowerPoint and executive communication skills with strong story-lining capability

- Familiarity with ERP implementation methodologies and consulting problem-solving approaches

- MBA / PGDM or equivalent advanced degree preferred; engineering or manufacturing background is a plus

Other Details:

- This is a contractual role with a duration of 5 months. The engagement is case-team driven, with a high-intensity work style and onsite or hybrid presence in Mumbai is required.
