Role & Responsibilities:
- Join the Non-Japan Asia Editorial and Production team, which locally comprises four Supervisory Analysts and two Production Heads
- Edit and proofread English-language equity and economics research reports to the highest standard under tight deadlines
- Identify and resolve issues in submitted materials; collaborate closely with analysts across NJA to enhance report readability
- Transition to a Supervisory Analyst role within six months, subject to passing FINRA regulatory exams
Additional editorial duties:
- Ensure research products meet regulatory and internal guidelines
- Review reports from a Supervisory Analyst perspective per FINRA guidelines
- Work closely with Compliance to uphold information control integrity
Mandatory:
- Minimum 4 years of financial editorial experience within a research team at a reputable investment bank
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong grammatical foundation
- Excellent numeracy skills, especially regarding financial statements
- Familiarity with a broad range of securities, business/industry terminology, and equity valuation concepts
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Willingness to take and clear the FINRA Series-16 exam to become a Supervisory Analyst
- Keen attention to detail (writing/editing skills assessed via standard test)
- Strong time-management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a multi-office team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/software
Desired:
- Degree in English Literature, Journalism, or Economics
- Experience editing Equity/Fixed Income research from non-native English speakers
- CFA Level 1 or higher
- Flexibility to work early Asian and EMEA hours
