Job Title: Equity Research Analyst BFSI Sector for AMC

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Equity Research Analyst with expertise in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) sector. The role involves conducting in-depth fundamental research on listed BFSI companies, identifying investment opportunities, and providing high-quality research insights to support investment decisions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Indian financial services landscape, valuation methodologies, and capital markets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed fundamental research on companies within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector.

- Analyze annual reports, quarterly results, investor presentations, regulatory updates, and industry developments.

- Build and maintain robust financial models, earnings forecasts, and valuation models.

- Prepare comprehensive research reports with investment recommendations supported by detailed analysis.

- Track key sector metrics, regulatory changes, macroeconomic trends, and competitive developments impacting the BFSI sector.

- Participate in earnings calls, management interactions, and industry conferences to gather business insights.

- Monitor portfolio companies and provide timely updates on earnings, valuations, and investment outlook.

- Present investment ideas and research findings to the investment team.

- Maintain research databases and update financial models regularly.

- Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and the investment team to support investment strategies.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- MBA (Finance), CA, CFA (completed or pursuing), or equivalent qualification.

- 5-12 years of experience in Equity Research with dedicated coverage of the BFSI sector.

- Strong understanding of the Banking, NBFC, Insurance, Asset Management, Capital Markets, and Financial Services ecosystem.

- Hands-on experience in financial modelling, earnings forecasting, and valuation methodologies such as DCF, Relative Valuation, and Comparable Company Analysis.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
