Role Overview:

As an Equity Research Analyst at our Gurgaon office, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive fundamental analysis to support investment recommendations. You will work closely with senior analysts and portfolio managers to dissect financial statements, track industry trends, and build robust valuation models. Your work will directly influence our investment thesis, providing the critical data and insights necessary for high-stakes capital allocation decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast company performance and assess long-term growth potential for institutional clients.

- Conduct rigorous fundamental research on assigned sectors to identify investment opportunities and mitigate potential risks.

- Perform detailed valuation analysis using DCF, relative valuation, and sum-of-the-parts methodologies to determine fair market value.

- Synthesize complex financial data into concise investment notes and presentations to facilitate informed decision-making by the investment committee.

- Monitor quarterly earnings, regulatory filings, and macroeconomic indicators to update investment models and maintain current market perspectives.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrate proficiency in building integrated financial models from scratch, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow projections.

- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities in interpreting financial statements and identifying key value drivers within diverse business models.

- Possess a solid understanding of valuation techniques and their practical application in equity analysis.

- Communicate complex investment ideas clearly and persuasively, both in written reports and verbal presentations to stakeholders.

- Maintain a high level of attention to detail while managing multiple research projects within tight deadlines in our Gurgaon office.

- Hold a degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, with professional certifications such as CFA or CA preferred.

- Show 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking, or buy-side analysis.
