Job Title: Analyst Equity Research

Experience: 5-10 Years (Minimum 4-5 years tracking Indian Equities)

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Analyst with strong expertise in Equity Research to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in conducting bottom-up fundamental stock analysis across 2-3 sectors as well as developing sector rotation strategies and delivering actionable insights to support portfolio decisions. This role requires a blend of analytical rigor, strategic thinking and excellent communication skills to articulate research findings through investment rationale notes, presentations and client interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Bottom-Up Stock Picking & Analysis:

- Conduct detailed fundamental analysis of companies including business analysis, financial modeling, valuation, and competitive benchmarking.

- Identify high-conviction investment ideas within assigned 2-3 sectors.

Sector Rotation Strategies:

- Analyze macroeconomic trends and market cycles to identify sector rotation opportunities. Develop and maintain sector allocation models aligned with investment objectives.

Communication & Client Engagement:

- Prepare high-quality investment rationale notes, presentations, and investment decks for internal and external stakeholders.

- Present investment ideas and outlook in internal & external meetings.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong expertise in Equity Research and Macro Research.

- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and sector analysis.

- Ability to interpret macro data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

- Excellent presentation skills and ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.

- Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and tools (Bloomberg etc).

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions.

Educational Qualification:

- MBA / CFA / CA or equivalent qualification preferred.
