About the job: We are seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about equity research and investments. The individual will be part of investment team and will be tasked with assessing equity investment opportunities in different sectors. Job Profile: The candidate is required to : - Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of companies at sector. - Keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry and related markets being researched - Develop and maintain financial models - Conduct comprehensive industry research and analysis. - Prepare research reports, presentations and participate in research meet up. - Keep track of corporate announcements, current policies, and study the impact on Equities and Portfolio. - Regularly monitor developments in our investee companies through media updates, corporate announcements, and published results. - Willing to travel to see factories, meet managements, and attend conferences. Key requirements: - Must be curious - Willing to work hard and smart - A deep interest and aptitude for analyzing financial information, and trends that affect companies, industries, and markets on a regional and global scale. Qualification required: - Educational qualifications can be from any field (BCom mandatory). A CFA certificate will be added advantage. - Minimum 2 years of work experience in investment research. - Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, familiar with financial modeling & valuation methods. - Strong in accounting and investing concepts. - Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to provide & defend an opinion with management
