Equity Analyst (Family Office)

Location: Andheri, Mumbai

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven and research-oriented Equity Analyst to join the investment team of a reputed Family Office. The role involves conducting in-depth fundamental research on listed Indian equities, generating actionable investment ideas, building financial models, and supporting portfolio management activities across sectors.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical capabilities, deep understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies, and a passion for long-term investing with a bottom-up research approach.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed fundamental research on listed Indian companies across sectors.

- Build and maintain financial models including forecasting, valuation, sensitivity and scenario analysis.

- Identify investment opportunities through bottom-up stock picking approach.

- Track quarterly earnings, annual reports, investor presentations and industry developments.

- Prepare detailed investment notes, thematic reports and sector updates.

- Meet company management teams, industry experts, channel partners and other stakeholders for primary research.

- Monitor portfolio companies and provide regular investment recommendations.

- Assist in portfolio construction, allocation decisions and risk monitoring.

- Analyze macroeconomic, industry and company-specific trends impacting investments.

- Support the investment team in generating alpha through differentiated research insights.

- Maintain investment databases, screening frameworks and valuation trackers.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification preferred.

- 5 - 10 years of experience in Equity Research, Asset Management, PMS, AIF or Family Office investing.

- Strong expertise in financial statement analysis and company valuation.

- Experience in bottom-up fundamental investing approach.

- Sector agnostic exposure preferred; experience in cyclical/turnaround investing would be an advantage.

- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.

- Ability to independently evaluate businesses and management quality.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- High ownership mindset with strong attention to detail.

- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Capitaline, Reuters, Excel and other research databases.

Preferred Background:

- Candidates from reputed buy-side institutions, mutual funds, family offices, PMS/AIF platforms or institutional equity research backgrounds will be preferred.
