Shift Time (1pm-10pm) Desired Candidate: - Accomplished engineer with 16+ years of progressive software design and development experience - Strong emotional intelligence, inter-personal and leadership skills - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Atleast 5 years of hands-on, hard-core software engineering in the core code of a product. - More than 5 years experience leading teams &amp; some experience leading leaders - Must have Agile environment exp. Nice to have skills : - Experience leading an agile transformation - XP (Extreme Programming) - TDD (Test Driven Development) - Pair Programming About This Role : As a Software Engineer, Director at CJ, you- ll have the benefit of working in a supportive, highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. Project Planning : - Ensures that agility &amp; risk are properly considered in project plans - Ensures that project planning tools &amp; methodology are working effectively Project Execution : - Ensures that issues that affect execution are dealt with quickly - Serves as the point of escalation for Product Managers &amp; Product Directors - Ensures that needed measurement/monitoring systems are in place as needed Talent Development : - Mentoring of Squad Leads - Ensuring that talent is developed, career paths are clear - Overseeing the hiring process &amp; decisions - The building of new squads - Quality &amp; Operations Oversight - Ensures that day-to-day coding quality is maintained - Ensures that operational alerts, backups, &amp; processes are handled The Software Engineering Director reports directly to the Head of Engineering and works closely with him to align day-to-day project execution with our strategic technical direction.
