Position Title Environment Head

Reporting To Director

Job Purpose

To lead and manage all environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, statutory approvals, pollution control measures, and ESG-related activities of the organization. Ensure full compliance with environmental laws and promote sustainable practices across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with all environmental laws, statutory norms, and regulatory requirements.

- Liaison with Pollution Control Board and other government authorities.

- Monitor air, water, and waste management systems.

- Ensure validity and renewal of Consent to Operate (CTO) and Consent to Establish (CTE).

- Implement ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

- Lead internal and external environmental audits.

- Develop sustainability and ESG initiatives.

- Maintain environmental records and submit periodic reports.

- Drive water conservation, waste reduction, and carbon footprint initiatives.

- Conduct training programs on environmental awareness.

- Ensure effective pollution control systems are installed and maintained for all plant equipment including ESP, Bag Filters, STP, ETP, and Dust Suppression Systems.

- Monitor stack emissions and ensure plant equipment operates within prescribed environmental norms.

- Ensure preventive maintenance and performance efficiency of all pollution control equipment.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science / Chemical Engineering.

- 12-18 years of experience in manufacturing / steel / heavy industry.

- Strong knowledge of CPCB / SPCB regulations.

- Experience in handling environmental audits and inspections.
