Experience : Minimum 18 years of experience in solar energy system design and engineering, including 5 years in leadership role

Job Description/ Responsibility:

Job Objective:

- Lead and manage the design and engineering processes for solar energy projects, ensuring technical excellence and cost efficiency

- Develop innovative and optimized solutions for specialized solar infrastructure projects

- Oversee structural and electrical design, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices, local codes and client specifications

- Drive collaboration across departments to achieve seamless project execution and timely delivery

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Lead and guide the team in designing solar energy systems using diverse types of modules, inverters, and balance-of-system (BoS) equipment for varying site and regulatory conditions

- Direct detailed design work, including load analysis, technical specifications, and design calculations for DC/AC layouts, MMS, and other BoS equipment.

- Conduct feasibility studies, preliminary designs, layouts, and detailed design documentation, including GA drawings, SOPs, BOM, and manuals.

- Provide technical guidance and engineering support during project execution and commissioning stages

- Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency

- Develop and qualify vendors/suppliers by scrutinizing technical capabilities and product standards to ensure high quality equipments and materials

- Ensure adherence to quality standards through technical evaluations, inspections, and type tests of equipment and systems

- Monitor and guide the preparation of inspection procedures, quality reports, and regulatory compliance documents

- Identify opportunities for innovation to improve designs, reduce costs, and enhance performance

- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and regulatory standards in the solar industry

- Proficiency in engineering tools and software, such as STAAD Pro, PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and Google SketchUp

- Effective collaboration and communication skills to work across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
