About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Audit & Risk professional with strong expertise in the PPI domain to strengthen compliance, monitor transactions, and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines. This role will be critical in managing risks within the cards ecosystem and ensuring robust governance in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fraud Risk Management & Monitoring: Develop and execute end-to-end fraud prevention and detection strategies for PPI/card products, including real-time transaction monitoring and risk mitigation.

- Fraud Investigations & Incident Response: Lead investigations, chargeback handling, and resolution of fraud incidents; spearhead timely incident response for potential breaches or suspicious activities.

- Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines across KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, fraud reporting, and Central Fraud Registry submissions, with accurate and timely regulatory reporting.

- Risk Assessment & Control Framework: Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify emerging threats, trends, and vulnerabilities, and implement effective control measures across the PPI ecosystem.

- Audit & Governance: Lead internal and external audits, strengthen governance frameworks, and ensure robust internal controls and documentation practices.

- Data Analytics & Risk Insights: Leverage data analytics and BI tools to build dashboards, track key risk indicators, and generate actionable insights for decision-making.

- Policy Development & Process Excellence: Draft, implement, and continuously enhance risk management policies, processes, and SOPs aligned with regulatory and industry best practices.

- Stakeholder Management & Training: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, present risk insights with actionable recommendations, and drive fraud awareness and compliance training across the organization.

What We're Looking For

- 8 - 12 years of experience in Audit, Risk, Fraud, or Compliance roles within fintech, with strong exposure to PPI (Prepaid Payment Instruments)/cards ecosystem.

- Strong understanding of RBI regulations, including KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, transaction monitoring, fraud management, and overall digital payments compliance frameworks.

- Hands-on experience in fraud risk management and transaction monitoring, including identifying anomalies, managing fraud incidents, and handling chargebacks within PPI environments.

- Proven experience in audits and regulatory interactions, with the ability to manage internal/external audits and ensure timely compliance reporting.

- Strong analytical and data-driven approach, with proficiency in SQL, Excel, or BI tools to detect fraud patterns, generate insights, and support decision-making.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, product, legal, and technology teams.

- Certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), ACAMS, or similar are preferred but not mandatory.
