About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Full Stack Developer / Engineering Manager with strong expertise in Node.js and React.js to lead the design, development, and delivery of highly scalable products and platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, experience building and scaling engineering teams, and a proven track record of delivering complex products in fast-paced product environments. This individual will play a key role in architecture decisions, engineering excellence, people management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

- Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable and high-performance web applications using Node.js, React.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

- Define technical strategy, architecture standards, and engineering best practices.

- Drive the adoption of scalable system design principles, coding standards, and security best practices.

- Review designs, conduct code reviews, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

- Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams and contribute to critical development initiatives.

Team Leadership & Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of Full Stack Engineers across backend and frontend technologies.

- Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development of engineers.

- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

- Work closely with Product, Design, Data, and Business stakeholders to align engineering priorities with business objectives.

Delivery & Execution:

- Own end-to-end delivery of engineering projects and product initiatives.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time with high quality and operational excellence.

- Drive engineering metrics around productivity, quality, reliability, and scalability.

- Manage technical debt and platform modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines from premier institutions such as IITs, IIITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, NSIT, DTU, or other Tier-1 engineering institutes.

- 814 years of software engineering experience with at least 24 years leading engineering teams or managing engineers.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, React.js, Microservices architecture, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.

- Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and System Design.

- Experience building distributed systems and highly scalable platforms.

- Expertise with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar technologies.

- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and engineering automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience leading teams of 520 engineers in product organizations.

- Experience working in B2B SaaS, FinTech, Consumer Internet, E-commerce, or Marketplace companies.

- Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, and distributed caching solutions.

- Experience with observability tools and production monitoring frameworks.

- Prior experience driving platform migrations, modernization, or large-scale architecture transformations.
