
Engineering Manager - AI (Client-Facing)
Role Overview:
We are looking for an Engineering Manager - AI to lead AI-driven initiatives for a strategic airlines project. This role requires a strong mix of engineering leadership, AI integration expertise, and stakeholder management, with the ability to drive AI adoption across the SDLC and influence senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive AI-enabled engineering delivery across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Identify, design, and implement AI/GenAI use cases (automation, copilots, intelligent workflows, etc.)
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into products and platforms
- Act as a client-facing leader, engaging with senior stakeholders and driving solution discussions
- Provide technical direction and thought leadership on AI adoption and best practices
- Own end-to-end delivery, ensuring quality, timelines, and business impact
- Translate business requirements into scalable AI-driven engineering solutions
- Work cross-functionally with product, data, and platform teams
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10-15 years of experience in engineering delivery / program management / tech consulting
- Proven exposure to AI / ML / GenAI implementations in real-world projects
Strong understanding of:
- AI use cases (chatbots, recommendation systems, automation, copilots)
- SDLC and modern engineering practices
- Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence decisions and bring independent thinking
- Experience working in client-facing roles with senior stakeholders
Good to Have:
- Experience in airlines / travel / logistics domain
- Exposure to digital transformation or consulting environments
- Prior experience in leading distributed engineering teams
