Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

- Set direction and ensure delivery of products and services.

- Guide specialists to execute roadmap items.

- Ensure delivery quality against agreed metrics.

- Support Scrum practices.

- Promote engineering best practices and transparent communication.

- Drive adoption of AI-assisted and agentic development tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) within the team to improve engineering velocity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.

- Foster motivation, engagement, and cross-organizational collaboration.

- Support employee growth and career development.

Skills Required:

- Overall 10+ years of experience in software development industry as technical contributor.

- 2-3+ years of experience in managing software engineering teams.

- Able to understand technical topics/terminologies of Java/Scala Stream processing, ETL, Backend API.

- Knowledge of Kafka and Kubernetes is a plus.

- Must have worked on microservices architecture.

- Ability to provide technical guidance to development team during solution implementation.

- Hands-on user of AI-assisted/agentic development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Copilot) with experience encouraging and guiding adoption across a team.
