Engineering Head (GM) - Manufacturing

Leading the manufacturing engineering team, developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and collaborating with other departments like design and operations. Responsible for strategic planning, budget management, process improvement, overseeing equipment, and driving continuous improvement initiatives like lean manufacturing and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to align with company goals, and manage operations budgets and production schedules.

- Process Optimization: Oversee the design, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing systems, equipment, and processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.

- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of manufacturing engineers, providing guidance and support.

- Quality and Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes, equipment, and products meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including design, R&D, quality assurance, and operations, to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

- Project Management: Manage and execute projects related to new product introductions, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.

- Maintenance and Reliability: Plan and execute maintenance activities to ensure plant and equipment reliability and safety.

- Data Analysis: Use data to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and generate reports.

Qualification And Experience:

1. BE in Instrumentation or a related field with 18+ Years of Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, with significant experience in a leadership or management role.

2. Familiarity with automation and robotics is often required or preferred.

3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.

4. Proven track record in process improvement, lean manufacturing, project management and managing complex projects from start to finish.

5. Deep knowledge of engineering principles, processes, and best practices relevant to the industry.

6. Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, equipment, and quality management systems.

7. Ability to analyze market demand and technology to plan and assess project feasibility.

8. Experience with budget preparation, cost management, and financial reporting.

9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

10. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
