Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in aerospace machining, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of CNC machining, precision manufacturing, and aerospace quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM systems (e.g., Siemens NX, Mastercam, CATIA).
- Proven experience with AS9100 and aerospace customer audits.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Job Description:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, programmers, and technical staff.
- Develop and implement the engineering strategy aligned with company goals and aerospace industry standards.
- Collaborate with senior management on long-term planning, budgeting, and investment in new technologies.
Technical Oversight:
- Oversee CAD/CAM programming, CNC machining processes, and tooling design.
- Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and provide technical input during quoting and customer reviews.
- Ensure manufacturability, quality, and cost-efficiency in all engineering deliverables.
Project Management:
- Manage engineering support for NPI (New Product Introduction) and legacy parts.
- Interface with customers, quality, and production teams to ensure on time and within-spec deliveries.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to support production schedules and engineering change requests.
- Work closely with production, quality, and purchasing to resolve technical challenges.
