Job Title: Engineering Projects & Operations Manager

Working Days: Sunday to Thursday

Work Timings: 9am to 6 pm (General working hours)

Role Summary:

InnoQuest is seeking a proactive individual for the role of Engineering Manager for offshore projects in the oil & gas industry. The role is responsible for overseeing engineering support functions, procurement coordination, vendor management, and administrative operations while ensuring seamless execution in alignment with ongoing offshore engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Office & Operations Management:

- Independently manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the organization.

- Align office activities with company objectives, business priorities, and ongoing project timelines.

- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational workflows, reporting systems, and documentation processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.

- Support basic HR and administrative functions, including employee coordination, record management, and office administration.

- Assist team members in achieving their KPIs by ensuring timely operational support, effective coordination, and process adherence.

- Monitor operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive initiatives to enhance productivity and operational excellence.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and internal operational procedures.

2. Engineering Coordination:

- Manage and coordinate onshore projects, with a primary focus on the architectural discipline.

- Ensure seamless coordination between internal engineering teams and clients through effective communication, enabling timely project execution.

- Monitor engineering resource productivity, quality, and deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.

- Conduct regular coordination meetings with project planners (twice weekly) to track progress, identify risks, and ensure adherence to project schedules.

- Drive cross-functional collaboration to resolve engineering issues, manage interfaces, and support successful project delivery.

3. Procurement & Vendor Management:

- Oversee the preparation and issuance of RFQs (Requests for Quotation) to vendors and coordinate techno-commercial evaluations.

- Ensure procurement activities are executed in line with project schedules and delivery milestones.

- Coordinate vendor inspections, documentation, expediting, and logistics to support timely material delivery.

- Support commercial negotiations with clients and vendors to achieve cost-effective and mutually beneficial outcomes.

- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure seamless vendor coordination and compliance with project requirements.

4. Project Support & Coordination:

- Provide operational and coordination support to the Engineering team in the preparation of Material Take-Offs (MTOs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), product datasheets, techno-commercial evaluations, and technical bid submissions.

- Monitor engineering and procurement activities by conducting regular progress review meetings and tracking key project milestones.

- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to proactively resolve execution challenges, delivery delays, and technical or commercial issues.

- Oversee document control activities, ensuring accurate project documentation, version control, audit readiness, and timely submission of project deliverables.

- Facilitate cross-functional coordination to ensure seamless execution of offshore oil & gas / EPC projects while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

5. Commercial & Cost Awareness:

- Establish and continuously improve a robust multi-vendor sourcing strategy.

- Assist in budget planning, cost control, and expenditure tracking.

- Oversee the preparation, submission, and tracking of Variation Order (VO) claims based on engineering activities, ensuring commercial compliance and timely recovery.

Key Requirements:

Experience:

- 10-20 years of experience in the offshore oil & gas engineering, construction or marine sectors.

- Proven experience in engineering coordination, procurement, bid evaluations, vendor management, and project delivery.

- Experience working with small-to-mid-sized EPC organizations or engineering and trading businesses is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong coordination, planning, and organizational abilities with the capability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

- Proven expertise in vendor management, procurement, commercial negotiations, and cost-effective sourcing.

- Strong commercial acumen with a cost-conscious approach to project execution.

- Hands-on, solution-oriented professional with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently while driving process improvements and operational efficiency.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring seamless alignment between engineering, procurement, vendors, and project teams.

- Demonstrated ability to provide reliable engineering coordination, maintain project schedules, and support timely project delivery.
