The Mandate: Engagement Manager - Climate Analytics

We are seeking an exceptional leader with 4-5 years of professional experience and a foundational, mandatory background in management consulting (Strategy/Operations track preferred).

Based at our dynamic Bangalore headquarters, this leadership role is the lynchpin of our client engagement success. You will manage the entire lifecycle of strategic analytics engagements, serving as the bridge between executive strategy (developed by your consulting experience) and high-quality technological delivery.

Key Responsibilities: Defining and Driving High-Impact Client Engagements

Your role will focus on three core consulting pillars: Client Engagement, Team Leadership, and Analytical Rigour.

Engagement Ownership: Own the client relationship and strategic direction for high-priority climate and analytics engagements, drawing on a minimum of 1 year of dedicated project management experience.

I. Strategic Client Engagement & Leadership

- Problem Structuring: Apply strategic thinking gained from a management consulting background to frame client problems, define project objectives, and create clear, executable engagement roadmaps.

- Matured Client Stewardship: Demonstrate Matured client management skills to foster deep, trusted-advisor relationships with C-suite and senior operational stakeholders within large industrial firms.

II. Analytical Rigour & Solution Validation

- Deep-Dive Analysis: Utilize an advanced level of SQL and MS Excel proficiency to perform deep-dive analysis, structure complex data models, and validate program findings, ensuring analytical rigour underpins every recommendation.

- Program Oversight: Structure, define, and oversee large-scale, ambiguous analytics projects-from initial data gathering and hypothesis testing to the final strategic presentation.

- Quality Assurance: Serve as the ultimate quality gateway for all analytical outputs and deliverables, ensuring they meet the highest standards of accuracy and align precisely with strategic client expectations.

III. Cross-Functional Team Orchestration

- Team Management: Lead and manage cross-functional Sentra.world teams (including Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers) to ensure alignment and consistent, high-quality program delivery.

- Impact Communication: Design and deliver high-stakes executive-level communications, presentations, and workshops.

- Domain Expertise: Leverage prior experience in the industrial sector (e.g., Manufacturing, Steel, Cement, etc.) to inject specialized relevance and deeper insight into engagement outcomes.

Required Candidate Profile

- Experience Mandate: 5-8 years of professional experience, with a core background in management consulting is mandatory.

- Program Leadership: Proven track record (minimum 1 year) of leading complex project or program management initiatives.

- Analytical Prowess: Expertise in managing and executing complex, data-intensive analytics projects.

- Technical Tools: Advanced level of SQL and MS Excel proficiency is essential for hands-on, day-to-day data structuring and analysis.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, influencing, and presentation skills required for senior client interaction.

- Ideal Backgrounds (Qualifies for Higher Comp Band): Candidates with experience gained at top consulting firms, including McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, R/P, Strategy &, and EY Parthenon, are highly desired.
