
The Head - IT (SAP) will lead the organization's technology strategy, SAP ecosystem, and digital transformation initiatives. This role involves overseeing IT infrastructure, ERP implementation & optimization, cybersecurity, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. SAP Strategy and Management
- Lead end-to-end ownership of SAP (S/4HANA or ECC) across modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, and HR.
- Drive SAP optimization, integrations, and upgrades in collaboration with business process owners.
- Oversee SAP implementation, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage relationships with SAP vendors, consultants, and system integrators.
- Ensure system stability, data accuracy, and compliance with business processes.
2. IT Infrastructure and Operations
- Oversee all IT operations including servers, networks, cloud systems, cybersecurity, and hardware assets.
- Ensure high availability, data security, and disaster recovery planning.
- Implement and maintain IT governance frameworks and standard operating procedures.
- Manage enterprise applications, email systems, and connectivity across all locations.
3. Digital Transformation & Automation
- Identify and deploy automation, analytics, and digital tools to enhance productivity and decision-making.
- Integrate SAP with third-party solutions (CRM, BI, HRMS, etc.).
- Champion Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing initiatives within the organization.
4. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor IT and SAP functional teams across business units.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand business needs and translate them into IT
solutions.
- Manage IT budgets, resource allocation, and vendor contracts effectively.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies, data protection laws, and audit requirements.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, IT, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of experience in IT, with at least 8 years in SAP leadership or enterprise systems management.
- Proven track record of leading SAP rollouts, upgrades, and integrations in a manufacturing setup.
- Strong understanding of business processes (Finance, Supply Chain, Production, Sales).
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
