
Role Purpose:
To lead and manage the organization's entire IT infrastructure landscape, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and performance of all IT systems including servers, networks, SAP ERP infrastructure, end-user computing, data centers, and IT operations across all locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure Strategy & Management
- Define and implement the IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals.
- Manage data centers, cloud infrastructure, servers, storage, backup, and disaster recovery systems.
- Oversee IT infrastructure upgrades, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
2. Network & Security Administration
- Ensure reliable and secure connectivity across all offices, plants, and remote sites.
- Oversee firewalls, routers, VPNs, and network monitoring systems.
- Implement cybersecurity frameworks, access controls, and incident response mechanisms.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams for periodic audits and penetration testing.
3. SAP ERP & Application Infrastructure
- Manage the infrastructure supporting SAP ERP and related applications.
- Coordinate with SAP functional and BASIS teams for uptime, patching, and performance optimization.
- Ensure system integration and data flow reliability across P2P, O2C, MRP, FA, and Production modules.
4. End User Computing & Support
- Oversee helpdesk and desktop support operations.
- Ensure timely resolution of user issues and minimal downtime.
- Standardize hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance and security updates.
5. IT Asset & Vendor Management
- Manage procurement, AMC, and vendor contracts for hardware, software, and IT services.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and ensure optimal utilization.
- Negotiate with OEMs and service providers for cost efficiency.
6. Compliance, Policies & Documentation
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with IT audits, data privacy, and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001 preferred).
- Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and disaster recovery.
7. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor infrastructure, network, and support teams.
- Foster a proactive, service-oriented culture within IT operations.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 15-18 years of experience in IT Infrastructure management, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Preferred Industry: Manufacturing / Renewable Energy / Engineering.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud (AWS/Azure).
- Expertise in networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, Firewalls, Cisco/Mikrotik/Fortinet).
- Familiarity with SAP infrastructure (Basis administration exposure is a plus).
- Knowledge of backup, storage, and DR solutions (Veeam, NetApp, etc.).
- Experience with ITSM tools and endpoint management (MDM, Intune, SCCM).
