Role Overview:
The AGM - Material Management role at Emmvee Photovoltaic Power Private Limited is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of material planning, procurement, and inventory control. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and finance, to ensure the timely and cost-effective availability of materials required for manufacturing solar PV modules. The AGM - Material Management plays a pivotal role in optimizing the supply chain, reducing costs, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, ultimately contributing to the company's profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to identify and secure reliable suppliers of high-quality materials at competitive prices, benefiting the company's bottom line.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimize pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules, ensuring favorable terms for Emmvee.
- Monitor market trends and analyze supply chain risks to proactively identify potential disruptions and implement mitigation strategies, safeguarding production continuity.
- Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital and minimize obsolescence, ensuring efficient use of company resources.
- Lead and mentor a team of material management professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain robust material management systems and processes to ensure accurate tracking, efficient flow, and effective control of materials, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Drive cost optimization and cost reduction initiatives across the supply chain, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses, contributing to increased profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to material management, including environmental and safety requirements, mitigating risks and ensuring responsible operations.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management, material planning, procurement, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage a team of professionals.
- Deep understanding of cost optimization and cost reduction techniques, with a proven track record of achieving significant savings.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- 8-20 years of relevant experience in material management.
