Emkay Global - Junior Equity Analyst - Non Discretionary Portfolio Management Services Team

Job Description

We are hiring a Junior Equity Analyst to join our Non-Discretionary Portfolio Management Services (NDPMS) team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in equity research or a similar profile, a strong academic background, and the ability to support both investment and client-facing teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis and research on Indian equities across sectors.

- Build and maintain detailed financial models for company valuation.

- Track company performance, earnings, sectoral trends, and macroeconomic indicators.

- Prepare investment research reports, pitch notes, and presentation materials.

- Support portfolio managers in portfolio construction and investment decision-making.

- Assist the sales/business development team with client presentations and market insights.

- Respond to investor queries with timely and relevant data analysis.

- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and investment committee discussions.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce or related field from a reputed university.

- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment analysis, or PMS firms.

- CFA (any level) or CA qualification is a strong advantage.

- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, relative valuation, etc.).

- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- Ability to work collaboratively with sales, research, and client teams.

- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg/Reuters preferred.
