Role Overview:


- We are seeking an accomplished Director / Head Careers, Student Success & Corporate Engagement to lead and scale the employability and industry engagement ecosystem for our India campus.

- This is a founding leadership role, responsible for building career services, corporate partnerships, and student success frameworks from the ground up.

- The role will drive placements, internships, industry collaborations, alumni engagement, and career readiness initiatives, ensuring students graduate with strong employment outcomes aligned to global workforce needs.

Key Responsibilities :


- Design and execute a comprehensive placement and employability strategy across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

- Build structured placement processes, including employer outreach, interview pipelines, and offer management.

- Lead career counselling, resume building, interview preparation, and job-readiness initiatives.

- Track and report placement metrics, outcomes, and employer feedback.

- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with MNCs, startups, industry bodies, and consulting firms.

- Enable internships, live projects, apprenticeships, and industry-sponsored programs.

- Represent the institution with senior industry leaders and act as the primary interface for corporate engagement.

- Explore long-term collaborations including research partnerships and executive education opportunities.

- Oversee skill development, certification, and experiential learning programs aligned to global employability standards.

- Collaborate with academic leadership to ensure curriculum relevance and industry alignment.

- Integrate soft skills, leadership, digital skills, and career readiness modules into student journeys.

- Establish and grow an engaged alumni network as mentors, recruiters, speakers, and advisors.

- Design structured mentorship programs connecting students with alumni and industry professionals.

- Leverage alumni relationships to strengthen placements and institutional branding.

- Monitor job market trends, emerging roles, and future skills to inform career strategy.

- Share insights with academic teams to influence program design and positioning.

- Benchmark placement outcomes against leading global institutions.

- Oversee student leadership bodies related to careers, entrepreneurship, and professional development.

- Organize industry forums, career fairs, hackathons, competitions, and leadership conclaves.

- Build a strong employer brand for the institution within the talent ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Experience:



- 10+ years of experience in career services, corporate relations, industry partnerships, or employability functions within higher education or talent-focused organizations.

- Proven track record of building placement functions and corporate networks, preferably in a growth or startup environment.

Education:



- Masters degree in Business Administration, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.

- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to build and scale new initiatives from scratch.

- Entrepreneurial approach with comfort in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.

- Excellent people leadership and team-building skills.

- Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills with CXOs, HR leaders, faculty, alumni, and students.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.

Preferred Profile:



- Experience working with international universities or global education brands.

- Exposure to emerging workforce skills, global placements, or cross-border partnerships.

- Passion for student success, employability, and education transformation
