In this journey of growth, the Business development team plays a crucial role in terms of identifying new business relationships through which we can offer affordable medicines in the US market. Therefore, we are looking to expand our existing team of business development.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development professional with deep expertise in the US Generic Pharmaceuticals market. The ideal candidate will have strong industry connections, the ability to independently represent the Group at senior/promoter level, and a proven track record of closing deals and securing new business opportunities.

Location: India
Experience: 5+ years in Business Development in Pharmaceuticals industry with focus on US generical market
Reporting To: Country Head
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Expansion & Sales Growth: Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the US generic pharmaceutical industry, including partnerships, in licensing, contract manufacturing, and distribution deals.
- Client & Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including promoters, CXOs, senior executives, and strategic partners.
- Deal Negotiation & Closure: Lead commercial negotiations, finalize contracts, and ensure successful execution of business agreements.
- Product Portfolio Development: Work closely with internal teams (R&D, regulatory, supply chain) to identify product opportunities aligned with market demand and competitive positioning. Provide requisite market intelligence in new product development strategies.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy: Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in the US generic pharmaceuticals market. Use insights to navigate business strategies.
- Group and Brand Representation: Represent the Group at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings, and demonstrate that it as a strong business partner in the US market.
- Collaboration & Review: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of deals and smooth business operations.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven track record in business development, sales, or in licensing within the US generic pharmaceuticals industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of US generic pharmaceutical market dynamics, pricing, competition, and regulatory landscape.
- Network & Relationships: Strong industry connects with CMO's/CDMO's, API suppliers and companies based out of India specifically.
- Commercial Acumen: Excellent negotiation skills, ability to structure and close deals independently.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-driven, proactive, and able to identify & execute business opportunities with minimal supervision.
- Communication & Representation Skills: Ability to confidently interact and build relationships with senior management, promoters, and key decision-makers.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for business meetings and industry events. Proven experience in data analytics and business intelligence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, or a related field.
- + MBA from a Premier Institute will be Preferred.
- Strong experience working with US focused CMO's and partners in the generic pharma industry.
