
Lead - Artificial Intelligence Strategy & Transformation (8-14 yrs)
Establish AI Intake Governance : Build and operationalize the single front door through which all AI project requests across organization are evaluated, prioritized, and approved before reaching the IT AI team. Includes intake process design, evaluation framework, and escalation protocol.
Own the Enterprise AI Use Case Pipeline : Work with BU heads, functional leaders, and Corp Dev leadership to identify, validate, and priorities high-impact AI opportunities across drug discovery, clinical, supply chain, pharmacovigilance, commercial, and manufacturing.
Build Business Cases for Approved AI Initiatives : Quantify ROI, define success metrics, and secure business sponsorship for each approved initiative. Own benefit realization tracking post-implementation.
Govern AI Performance Across the Enterprise : Establish KPIs and dashboards tracking delivery, adoption, and business impact of all AI initiatives in the IT execution pipeline. Report to Corp Dev leadership and the executive team on a regular cadence.
Drive AI Adoption and Change Management : Build AI literacy across the organization, manage resistance from function heads, and ensure solutions are adopted.
Establish Responsible AI Governance : Define organization's AI ethics, data privacy, and compliance framework in partnership with Legal and IT, aligned to pharma-specific regulatory standards including pharmacovigilance and GMP.
- Own AI Tool, Platform & Architecture Decision Rights
Key Requirements:
- 8 to 12 years total experience, with at least 4 years in a role that required owning the business case and ROI of AI or data initiatives - not just contributing technically.
- Has personally established a governance, prioritization, or intake process for AI or data projects in a multi stakeholder environment.
- Has quantified business value from AI in business terms - revenue impact, cost savings, cycle time reduction, or margin improvement.
- Pharma, healthcare, or similarly regulated industry experience strongly preferred.
- Has built something from scratch before.
- Comfortable operating without an established team or process.
Looking for candidates worked in consulting companies in pharma AI or digital transformation engagements or from Pharma companies running AI strategy, digital governance, or data analytics strategy.
