Job Title: Lead - Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (AP & AR)

Job Summary
The Lead - AP & AR will manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring timely collections, accurate vendor payments, strong internal controls, and optimized cash flow. This role will lead AP and AR teams, drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and act as a key liaison with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise AP and AR teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and policy compliance.
- Oversee customer invoicing, payment application, AR aging, and collections.
- Achieve collection targets: M-2: 100%, M-1: - 95%, M0: up to 95%, overall >95% MoM.
- Manage customer billing queries and resolve complex disputes.
- Supervise AP operations including invoice processing, approvals, and vendor payments.
- Prepare and review AP/AR aging, cash flow forecasts, and management reports.
- Ensure timely vendor payments and compliance with tax, TDS, and statutory requirements.
- Reconcile AP/AR sub-ledgers with GL and support month-end/year-end close.
- Maintain strong internal controls and support audits.
- Create, monitor, and improve AP & AR SOPs.
- Drive process improvements and automation (P2P & O2C).
Qualifications & Experience
- CA (5-6 years) OR ICWA / M.Com / Master's in Finance/Accounting (8-10 years).
- 8-10 years of experience across AP & AR, with at least 1-2 years in a lead role.
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
- Strong ERP experience (SAP preferred).
Skills
- Strong accounting knowledge and AP/AR best practices.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
