Eli Lilly - Channel Activation/Orchestration & Content Manager

Eli Lilly Services India Private Limited.7 - 12 yrs.Gurgaon/Gurugram

About the role:

We are building an integrated omnichannel ecosystem that connects customer consent, digital communications, intelligent targeting, AI-led engagement and field enablement into a single connected experience for every healthcare professional we serve. The programme supports our most significant product launches.

This role owns the part of that ecosystem the customer actually experiences. You are accountable for how, when and through which channel a consented healthcare professional hears from us - and for ensuring the approved content required to make that happen is available, compliant and on time.

It is a role for someone equally comfortable architecting a multi-channel journey, holding an agency to a delivery date, and defending a media plan to brand leadership. You will run the execution engine of the omnichannel agenda, with real budget and a team.

Key responsibilities:

1. Channel activation and journey orchestration:

- Own the design, build, quality assurance and deployment of multi-channel customer journeys across messaging, email, web and other approved digital channels, using enterprise marketing automation and orchestration platforms.

- Translate brand objectives into orchestrated journey logic - triggers, sequencing, suppression, frequency governance and next-best-channel rules - in partnership with brand and medical teams.

- Hold accountability for the core delivery engine: approved email, digital peer-to-peer programmes, brand and disease-education websites, and third-party professional platform partnerships.

- Ensure every deployment meets consent, data protection and industry code requirements before release; no journey goes live without a documented compliance check.

- Drive month-on-month growth in digital engagement volume and in the proportion of target customers receiving multiple meaningful digital interactions.

2. Paid media and programmatic:

- Own professional-audience paid media strategy and execution across programmatic display and video, social platforms and endemic publishers, including first-party audience activation within approved privacy frameworks.

- Build and manage media plans, flighting schedules and reach models; own in-flight optimisation and post-campaign reconciliation of planned versus delivered unique reach.

- Manage media budget allocation and pacing, and provide monthly spend and performance visibility to brand teams and leadership.

3. Content and creative operations:

- Own the content supply chain end to end - from brand brief through agency production, medical-legal-regulatory review and digital asset management publishing, to channel-ready delivery.

- Maintain a forward-looking content calendar and asset inventory across brands, so channel plans are never constrained by unavailable or expired content.

- Build and govern a modular content architecture that allows approved components to be reused and re-versioned across channels, languages and audiences rather than produced from scratch each time.

- Manage creative and production agency partners: briefing, statement-of-work and deliverable tracking, quality control, technical specification compliance and timeline accountability.

- Act as the function's primary interface into the content review and approval process, driving predictable throughput and reducing cycle time as a measurable objective.

4. Vendor management and governance:

- Manage platform and agency vendor relationships, including scope definition, contracting support, performance review and commercial negotiation.

- Contribute channel and content performance inputs into governance forums and brand reviews.

- Partner closely with the customer data and consent, AI product, and measurement teams to ensure activation both consumes and enriches the shared customer data layer.

Minimum qualifications:

- MBA or equivalent postgraduate management qualification.

- 7 - 10 years of post-MBA experience in digital marketing, marketing operations or omnichannel roles.

- Demonstrated hands-on ownership of marketing automation or campaign orchestration platforms.

- Practical experience planning and running paid digital media, including programmatic buying and audience activation.

- Experience managing creative or production agencies against scope, budget and timeline.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, or another environment where marketing content is subject to formal regulatory review.

- Direct experience with healthcare professional engagement in the Indian market.

- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical customer relationship management, approved email and digital asset management systems.

- Familiarity with India's data protection legislation and applicable pharmaceutical marketing codes as they apply to digital engagement.

- Experience building modular or reusable content frameworks in a regulated review environment.

- Comfort working with performance data - able to interrogate a dashboard and challenge a number, without needing to build the model.

Attributes we are looking for:

- Operator's discipline. This role is measured on things going live, correctly, on the date promised.

- Compliance as instinct, not obstacle. You design within the rules from the first draft rather than seeking forgiveness at review.

- Commercial judgement. You can defend where the money went and what it bought.

- Partnership orientation. Brand teams should experience you as an enabler of their plans, not a gatekeeper of a shared platform.

- Comfort with ambiguity. Several capabilities in this ecosystem are still being built; you will help define the operating model, not inherit a finished one.
