Position Summary:

- This is a Purchasing Manager position within the business segment of Personal Care. The position is responsible for supplying to Taloja plant and other site support.

- The position will manage vendors and tollers in these counties supplied to Taloja.

- This position will be responsible to create and to develop business relationships with existing and new vendors to maintain and grow a sustainable and profitable business. This position will also be responsible for managing our tollers in developing growth plans and ensuring objectives are met.

The purpose of this position is to:

- Develop VCP saving year by year

- Manage vendors to insure the supply comparable and sustainability

- Manage delivery on time in full

- Collaborate with the local team to make global profit targets

Responsibilities:

1. Drive year-over-year improvement in direct and indirect material spend through listed cost saving projects.

2. Lead the development of new suppliers, and better-quality raw materials through collaborative supplier management and leadership of internal stakeholders.

3. Help to shape and follow the global procurement strategies, negotiate best term with suppliers, implement outline agreement and contract, manage supplier relationship and get best cost management from categories.

4. Proactive management of Working Capital TWC through reduced inventory strategy and optimized Payment Terms.

5. Achieve a best-in-class purchasing VCP saving through technical cooperation and identify any cost saving project year by year

6. Using PINPOOL to have bidding process in the RFQ stage, which also working with cross functional team to have best cost.

7. Involve all collaboration with local team and together building a strong local team through concise objective-setting and performance appraisals, effective development plans, coaching, communicating and one-direction from top down.

8. Work cooperated with sales, marketing, R&D and operations towards achieving cost saving and supply chain transformation goals.

9. Strong business behavior to negotiate prices and terms with vendors, set up meetings, organize site audits, legal compliances and quality requirement.

10. Attending the global meeting, following action plan and project progress, and regular reporting to region procurement team.

11. Supporting all other sites of sourcing, searching, regulation and all related information required by functions and teams.

Proactively take daily working as below activities:

- You lead a team to generate new materials, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation and providing direction to achieve business objectives.

- You provide guidance and technical direction on project briefs and oversee the material development process, ensuring we meet quality and performance standards.

- You identify, coordinate, and work with external research, academic, and new venture partners to discover and present new materials to the leadership team

- You lead multiple projects simultaneously, oversee project timelines, resources, and budgets to deliver successful outcomes.

- You communicate the material vision to higher management and to cross-functional teams in order to bring proactive thinking regarding product development.

- You perform an active role in new material brainstorming sessions with technical team.

- Decision making as required, please also include a summary of the level of autonomy in decision-making related to management oversight and any delegation of authority, if known Typically, you have the authority to make decisions related to technical direction, methodologies, approaches and product development processes. You can also make decisions related to project execution, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation within budget.

Higher-level approvals are required for those related to significant budget allocations, strategic shifts, or major collaborations that have substantial financial or long-term implications.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

1. English Speaking skills highly desirable.

2. Professional trained in procurement and negotiation, understand chemical costs and market trend, familiar with JDE and service now system.

3. Communicates verbally and written from with internal and external customers(i.e., coworkers, supervisors and representatives third-part agencies).

4. have chemical regulation and compliance knowledge.

5. Knowledge of castor oil market, experience of commodity buying like Aluninum, Hydrochloride, aime wax and all kinds of sourcing abilities.

Position Requirements:

Functional:

- Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Sales, Business Development or similar or equivalent

- Sophisticated purchasing procure to pay process, prefer to have ISM, CPSM,APIC and professional certificates

- At least 3-year purchasing experience in chemical company, prefer to coating industries or related additive companies.

- Good knowledge of and experience in the Coatings industry,

- Strong interpersonal skills, communication, negotiation and presentation skills

- Excellent in English, local language is a pre

- Have raw material over 10 million up dollars of purchasing contract management experience

- Familiar with the MRP systems like JDE, Zycus, Service Now and others.
