Key Responsibilities:
On time completion of the projects:.
- Lead execution of varied, defence related projects from initial plan, technical review to final delivery and site work completion.
- Develop & deliver a project management program encompassing all the details of entire project life cycle.
- Set project execution goals, plan execution strategy and guide team to achieve them.
- Resolve operational constraints and technical issues with internal as well as customer teams.
-Ensure overall completion of project in time and within budget.
Inter department and Client Coordination:
- Work closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Support integration activities, manufacturing timelines, and stage inspections with defence clients.
- Resolve client concerns and issues proactively.
- Looking after Commercials & Payments.
- Drive timely submission of bills and follow up for payment clearance.
- Negotiate effectively to ensure cost efficiency without compromising on quality.
Tender and contract management:.
- Manage tender and contract management team.
- Float the enquiries and obtain the quotation.
- Verifying the tender documents before finalisation of the contract.
- Cost Estimate for New tenders related to DRDO.
Cost reduction and improvements for entire plant:.
- Active involvement in finalisation of any capital equipment / assets.
- Negotiation and finalisation of all major purchases.
- Finalisation of rate-contract for Purchases.
- Cost reduction in Project execution.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 20 years in Project management in Defence sector.
- Established connections in DRDO (mandatory).
- Should have strong technical knowledge of Defence products.
- Strong negotiation and networking skills.
- In-depth understanding of defence procurement procedures and vendor registration processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
- Mindset: Strategic thinker, result-driven, and hands-on leader with ability to deliver under tight timelines.
