About the role:
As an HRBP Manager, you act as a strategic and operational partner to business teams, driving performance, culture, solve people challenges and compliance across the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a day-to-day HR partner to business leaders and managers; understand team needs and provide timely support.
- Lead the full performance management cycle from setting goals to reviews, feedback, and improvement plans.
- Drive culture and engagement initiatives: plan floor connects, R&R programs, skip-levels, and pulse checks.
- Manage employee lifecycle processes like onboarding, confirmations, transfers, and exits with minimal friction.
- Ensure policy understanding and adherence across teams; address employee queries and resolve concerns proactively.
- Monitor compliance with labor laws and internal policies (e. POSH, PF/ESIC, Shops & Establishments).
- Maintain and share people dashboards (attrition, internal movements, PR outcomes) to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, admin) to ensure smooth execution of HR processes.
- Identify process gaps and drive improvements in HR operations through system adoption and better workflows.
- Support and coach mid-level managers on people management, conflict resolution, and team development.
- Lead or support internal investigations, grievance redressals, and disciplinary actions with fairness and documentation.
- Keep a strong pulse on team morale and provide early signals or interventions for at-risk employees or teams.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Human Resources, from a recognized institution- Mandatory.
- 6 to 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity, overseeing cross-functional HR teams.
- B2B Startup experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws, HR compliance requirements, and statutory frameworks.
- Proven experience in scaling HR operations, implementing structured HR systems, and managing teams in high-growth or dynamic environments.
- Hands-on experience with digital HR platforms, HRMS tools, and automation of HR processes.
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute people strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Expertise in performance management, employee engagement, learning & development, and succession planning.
- Strong leadership presence with excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in using HR analytics and dashboards for data-driven decision-making.
- High level of emotional intelligence, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
- Preferred: Certifications such as SHRM, HRCI, or CIPD; experience with multi-location or global HR operations.
