About the Role

eGrove Systems is looking for a proactive and analytical IT Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, preparing functional documentation, supporting proposal creation, and ensuring that delivered solutions meet client and business expectations across diverse technology domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Requirement Analysis

- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.

- Prepare detailed documentation including SRS, BRD, FRD, WBS, use cases, user stories, and process flows.

- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for development teams.

- Validate requirements throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Solution Design & Delivery Support

- Evaluate existing business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements and technology-driven solutions.

- Ensure proposed and delivered solutions meet defined business needs, functional requirements, and quality standards.

- Support solution walkthroughs, UAT coordination, and requirement sign-offs.

Proposal & Pre-Sales Support

- Research and develop high-quality proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and solution documents for IT projects.

- Collaborate with sales and technical teams to define scope, effort estimation, and solution approaches.

- Conduct competitive and market research to support proposal strategy and positioning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with development, QA, UI/UX, and project management teams to clarify requirements and resolve functional queries.

- Support projects across domains such as E-commerce, AI/ML, E-learning platforms, Mobile Applications, and Cloud-based solutions.

- Act as a key liaison to ensure smooth communication between business and technical stakeholders.

Documentation & Process Improvement

- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and ensure version control and traceability.

- Assist in defining best practices, templates, and process improvements for business analysis activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience

- Minimum 2+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in web and mobile application development projects.

- Overall 5+ years of experience in an IT development and/or support environment.

Technical & Domain Knowledge

- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall).

- Hands-on experience with requirement documentation and proposal preparation.

- Good understanding of modern IT technologies, frameworks, and digital solutions.

- Exposure to E-commerce, AI/ML, E-learning, Mobile Apps, and Cloud technologies is a strong plus.

Soft Skills

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.

- Strong presentation and documentation skills.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in any discipline (mandatory).

- MBA (Preferred) or relevant business/technology certifications are an added advantage.
