Eggoz - Head - Supply Chain

The Role: The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain for Eggoz - from contract farm operations, production planning, storage and distribution, and last-mile delivery.

The role is pivotal to ensuring product freshness, cost efficiency, and service levels in a perishable and fragile product category

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage procurement planning for eggs through efficient contract farm operations

- Ensure quality standards and compliance at the supplier/farm level through the team

- Build strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and third-party partners.

- Develop demand forecasting methodologies in close coordination with Sales

- Align supply chain planning with seasonal demand variations and product promotions

- Maintain optimal balance between availability and working capital efficiency

- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring freshness and minimal breakage

- Setup / Manage / Optimize distribution centers and last-mile delivery networks for cost and efficiency

- Ensure inventory accuracy, FIFO practices, and product traceability.

- Minimize wastage and pilferage through strong processes and tech adoption.

- Explore and deploy cost efficient technology solutions various nodes in the supply chain

- Implement lean practices to improve supply chain speed and reduce costs

- Drive automation in demand planning, inventory management, and distribution.

- Ensure adherence to FSSAI, food safety, and statutory norms.

- Establish robust vendor contracts, SLAs, and governance mechanisms.

- Build sustainability practices into procurement and packaging
