Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis
Job Description:
1. Financial Analysis and Forecasting:
- Perform detailed financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for the organization's operations, identifying key drivers and trends.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business options and assess risk.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
2. Business Performance Monitoring:
- Track and report on key business performance indicators (KPIs) across departments, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Design and maintain dashboards to communicate financial and operational metrics in real-time.
- Analyze and interpret data to provide insights on revenue growth, cost optimization, and overall financial health.
3. Strategic Planning and Decision Support:
- Collaborate with senior management to provide insights and recommendations on strategic initiatives, including market expansions, product launches, and pricing strategies.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and evaluate the company's competitive position.
- Prepare and present strategic and financial recommendations to support decision-making.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Gather, clean, and interpret large data sets to extract actionable insights, making use of data visualization tools for clear presentation.
- Develop financial models and analytical tools to streamline data processing and reporting.
- Work with IT and data teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with departments like sales, marketing, product, and operations to ensure alignment on financial and operational objectives.
- Provide guidance and training on financial principles to non-financial departments to help them manage budgets and understand financial impacts of their activities.
- Contribute to a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement within the organization.
6. Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement within financial planning and analysis workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices in financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
Education and Skills:
- CA/MBA Finance with 3+ years of experience.
- CFA level 1 will be a good add-on.
- SQL and any visualization tool will be a good add-on.
- Should be ready to have hand-on experience in business fundamentals.
