About Team:  Edelweiss has one of the biggest algorithmic trading setup in India. Three of the trading businesses - Proprietary Desk, Institutional Equities & HNI Broking are using various types of algorithms for trading in various exchanges (domestic as well as international) across asset classes.   Given the non symmetric risk posed by algorithmic trading, a dedicated team is setup within GRG which focuses on all the risks emanating from algorithmic trading and trading technologies across the organization. This profile is for senior role within this team. The candidate will be managing a team of 8-10 members comprising of Engineers as well as MBA from top colleges looking after the day to day risk management activities.  Profile Snapshot:  The person will be the single point of contact for businesses for seeking approval for any new algorithmic trading strategy as well as associated software / hardware applications. An important aspect of this role will be to understand the underlying technical complexities and identifying the potential risks emanating from the same. In a layman term it is all about converting unknown risks into known risks. And then based on this understanding, the person has to suggest controls (either systemic or process driver) for mitigating the same. This person in this role will also play a important role in the defining the landscape of the future growth of algorithmic trading within Edelweiss and for the same he / she will be involved in frequent communication with senior leaders across businesses.  Educational Qualification: B.Tech/ B.E.
