Economist - BFSI

As an Economist, you will be at the forefront of analyzing economic trends, developing forecasts, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including financial analysts, market researchers, and risk managers, to assess market dynamics and their potential impact on our business. Your work will directly contribute to informed investment strategies, risk mitigation efforts, and ultimately, the achievement of our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Conduct in-depth economic research and analysis to identify key market trends and potential opportunities for growth.

- Develop and maintain econometric models to forecast economic indicators and assess the impact of various scenarios on business performance.

- Perform rigorous financial analysis to evaluate investment opportunities, assess project feasibility, and support strategic planning initiatives.

- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate economic insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

- Monitor and analyze market risk factors, including interest rates, exchange rates, and commodity prices, to identify potential threats and opportunities.

- Collaborate with market research teams to gather and analyze data on consumer behavior, market demand, and competitive landscape.

- Contribute to the development and refinement of financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in economic theory, econometrics, and statistical analysis.

- Proven ability to develop and apply econometric models for forecasting and scenario analysis.

- Strong financial analysis skills, including experience with valuation, investment analysis, and risk management.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex economic concepts to a non-technical audience.

- Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python, Stata, SAS).

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.

- Adaptable to on-site work in Mumbai.
