Role Overview E-Commerce (Marketplace + Wholesale/OR)

1. Role Summary:
This position is part of the e-commerce function led by Smita and manages business across two key models Marketplace (Myntra, Ajio, Amazon, etc.) and Wholesale/OR.
2. Team Structure & Reporting:
The role will lead a cross-functional e-commerce team comprising:
- Key Account Managers (each Category Manager will oversee their own KAM set)
- Catalog Specialist responsible for listings, content hygiene, and on-platform accuracy
- Reconciliation/MIS Specialist responsible for financial governance, returns, and warehouse coordination
3. Key Responsibilities:
A. Marketplace Management:
- Lead end-to-end business across Myntra, Ajio, Amazon, and other relevant platforms.
- Drive visibility, conversions, campaign planning, and on-platform marketing initiatives.
- Own commercial discussions, margins, discount strategy, and overall commercial hygiene.
- Identify, pitch, and onboard new marketplace partners.
- Maintain strong P&L discipline through data-driven decision-making.
B. Wholesale / OR (as applicable):
- Manage the OR/Wholesale channel including partner sell-in.
- Build Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and seasonal product builds.
- Coordinate assortments, inventory plans, and delivery timelines.
- Manage partner relationships, including billing and commercial closure.
- Ensure seamless operational execution and commercial accuracy.
C. P&L Ownership:
- Own a P&L
- Drive revenue, margin performance, return hygiene, discount strategy, and inventory health.
- Uphold robust commercial governance across both channels.
D. Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with merchandising, supply chain, marketing, finance, and warehouse teams.
- Influence and manage external stakeholders including marketplaces and wholesale partners.
- Demonstrate strong sales acumen, commercial understanding, and negotiation skills.
4. Requirements:
- 7-12 years of experience in fashion e-commerce (brand or marketplace side).
- Deep understanding of marketplace levers, commercial terms, and full P&L management.
- Experience across both marketplace and OR models is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, sales orientation, and stakeholder management capability.
- High analytical aptitude with experience managing large-scale P&Ls.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams (KAMs, Catalog, MIS) and operate cross-functionally.
5. Target Profiles / Companies:
- Candidates with hybrid exposure both brand-side e-commerce and marketplace experience are highly preferred.
