Description:
Role: E Commerce Lead (GM Level, Individual Contributor)
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Reporting to: Head Ecom
Scope & Purpose
The E Commerce Lead will be responsible for driving digital business growth across key online platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Quick Commerce, and emerging marketplaces. This is a senior individual contributor (IC) role at a General Manager level, focused on strategic ownership, business outcomes, and cross-functional influence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Leadership
- Manage and grow strategic relationships with e-commerce partners, leading annual business planning and ensuring visibility and preferential positioning.
- Define and execute long-term GTM strategies to strengthen Cromptons presence and performance across digital channels.
P&L Ownership & Revenue Management
- Own the revenue and profitability targets across all e-commerce platforms.
- Monitor financial performance and adapt strategies to ensure achievement of topline and bottom-line objectives.
Growth Acceleration & Market Expansion
- Identify new business opportunities, track market trends, and lead initiatives for rapid and sustainable growth in the e-commerce space.
- Evaluate platform performance and unlock new levers for category expansion and assortment development.
Promotions & Conversion Optimization
- Drive the execution of digital marketing campaigns, promotions, and exclusive launches in collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Optimize conversion rates and maximize ROI from platform investments and initiatives.
Supply Chain & Operational Excellence
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure inventory availability, demand forecasting accuracy, and high service levels.
- Drive operational efficiency and minimize stock-outs or overstocking scenarios.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to align business strategies and deliver integrated solutions.
Data Driven Insights & Performance Monitoring
- Leverage analytics and data insights to guide pricing, product, and promotional decisions.
- Track and report key performance metrics, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Requirement Details
- Education MBA or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or related fields
- Experience 815 years total experience with at least 6 years in e-commerce leadership
- Skill Set Strategic account management, P&L ownership, digital marketing, analytics
- Platform Expertise Amazon, Flipkart, Quick Commerce, D2C, and digital retail ecosystems
- Personal Attributes Strategic thinker, execution-oriented, strong stakeholder management
