Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the D2C and marketplace strategy and operations: set revenue, margin, cost, customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV) targets, manage brand visibility etc.
- Manage the operations including conversion optimization, user experience, product roadmap alignment, inventory planning, pricing strategy etc.
- Own ecommerce P&L and revenue targets for all channels, forecasting and budgeting
- Lead the development and optimisation of the e-commerce platform: website, mobile app, checkout, UX/UI, product pages, speed, responsiveness including understanding the consumer journey, retention and CRM/lifecycle marketing
- Work with the tech team to strategically own the tech stack - from the D2C platforms (e.g., Shopify), CRM and customer data platform, through analytics and reporting tools to drive business growth
- Drive key partnerships with marketplaces (Nykaa, Tira, Amazon, Flipkart etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, marketing, product, finance etc, to ensure alignment and execution across pricing, promotion, inventory management etc.
- Leverage marketplace analytics, trends and sales data to derive insights and optimize performance
- Manage external vendor/agency relationships as required
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team over a period of time
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 6-10 years of eCommerce / D2C experience, with experience working to scale a beauty related brand is ideal
- Strong commercial acumen: experience managing budgets, revenue, cost, margins, and delivering growth while maintaining profitability
- Excellent analytical abilities, comfort with large data sets and ability to translate data into actionable business insights
- Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
