Executive Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven E-commerce Head to take full strategic ownership and P&L accountability for our entire digital commerce presence.
This leader will drive the accelerated growth of our Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) channels while optimizing performance across all major marketplace platforms, specifically leveraging experience in the Home, Lifestyle, or Furniture categories.
Key Responsibilities & Strategic Deliverables:
Digital P&L Ownership & Growth Strategy:
- P&L Accountability: Own and manage the entire E-commerce P&L, defining ambitious revenue targets, optimizing marketing spend (CAC), and driving sustainable, bottom-line profitability across all digital channels.
- Strategy Formulation: Develop and champion the digital growth strategy, identifying key opportunities for market share expansion, new channel penetration, and technology adoption.
- Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives to enhance the underlying digital infrastructure, focusing on speed, seamless integrations, and a future-ready tech stack.
D2C Platform Optimization & Customer Lifecycle:
- Platform Excellence: Drive aggressive growth and business performance across the owned D2C website and mobile application, focusing heavily on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and superior site experience.
- Retention & Loyalty: Strategically utilize data and CRM tools to build high-impact customer loyalty programs and personalized lifecycle strategies to maximize Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), critical for high-ticket home categories.
- Marketing Integration: Oversee the collaboration with performance marketing and brand teams to optimize user acquisition (paid media) and organic growth efforts.
Marketplace & Partner Management:
- Strategic Oversight: Define the strategy for all major third-party platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Tata CLiQ, etc.), ensuring optimal assortment, competitive pricing, and inventory health.
- Commercial Negotiation: Lead commercial negotiations with marketplace partners, securing favorable trade terms, visibility placements, and promotional opportunities.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure seamless daily operations, from cataloguing and listing health to efficient order management and last-mile logistics coordination.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing e-commerce team, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the key liaison between E-commerce and core business functions (Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure accurate sales forecasting, inventory flow, and marketing alignment.
Ideal Profile & Qualifications:
- Experience (Mandatory): 10- 15 years of hands-on, progressive experience in E-commerce strategy and operations.
- P&L Focus: Proven track record of direct P&L ownership and successfully scaling a digital business unit.
- Industry Fit (Preferred): Experience in high-involvement purchase categories such as Home, Lifestyle, Furniture, or other premium consumer durables.
- Skills: Strong analytical acumen, exceptional negotiation, and executive-level stakeholder management skills
