Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
- Define the segmentation strategy by mapping customer lifecycle stages, behavioral patterns, engagement trends, and demographic insights into clear, actionable audience buckets.
- Lead and govern the cross-channel campaign calendar (monthly and quarterly), planning seasonal priorities, product initiatives, and lifecycle touchpoints for unified orchestration.
- Shape omni-channel communication strategies by setting direction on messaging consistency, personalization logic, and customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Stay up-to-date with email marketing best practices, compliance (GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM), and emerging technologies.
- Define campaign category frameworks (BAU, lifecycle, promotional, triggered, market-specific) to ensure alignment with global brand objectives while supporting local business needs.
Execution & Optimization:
- Manage the end-to-end production of email campaigns, including segmentation, A/B testing, deployment, and QA.
- Collaborate closely with Analytics, CRM, Campaign Operations, and Product teams to align on segmentation logic, governance, validate data quality, and enable insight-led targeting.
- Optimize campaign delivery across channels by ensuring strategic consistency, personalization accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all email campaigns are mobile-responsive and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Synthesize insights from cross-functional teams to guide execution decisions around audience selection, messaging approach, and send frequency.
Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze campaign performance across BAU, lifecycle, triggered, and omni-channel initiatives using defined KPIs to assess effectiveness and impact.
- Evaluate customer segment and campaign performance data to identify high-value audience cohorts and opportunities for impactful communications.
- Present clear insights and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, summarizing trends, implications, and actionable next steps to improve long-term ROI.
- Identify strategic insights and behavioral trends, performance gaps, audience fatigue, and optimization opportunities across targeting, content, cadence, and channel mix.
Technical and Functional Skills:
- Bachelors degree any discipline with 3-6 years of experience in email marketing strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using analytics platforms (e.g Google Analytics).
- Expert knowledge of a major Email Service Provider (ESP) such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or similar.
