JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview
The Business Head will be the overall owner of business performance, responsible for end-to-end P&L, revenue growth, profitability, strategy execution, and scalable expansion of a - 500+ Cr revenue business. The role requires a strong balance of strategic leadership and operational execution, with accountability for sustainable growth, margins, and long-term enterprise value.
Key Responsibilities:
1. P&L Ownership & Financial Leadership
- Own complete P&L responsibility for a business with - 500 Cr+ annual revenue
- Drive EBITDA growth, margin improvement, and cost optimization
- Build and manage annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans
- Ensure strong cash flow management, working capital efficiency, and ROCE
- Review monthly MIS, variance analysis, and corrective action plans
2. Revenue Growth & Business Expansion
- Define and execute growth strategy across:
o New markets / geographies
o New products / categories
o New channels (Retail, Franchise, Distribution, Digital, Enterprise, etc.)
- Deliver YoY revenue growth targets while maintaining profitability
- Identify and scale high-growth business levers
- Drive pricing strategy, mix optimization, and revenue quality
3. Strategic Planning & Execution
- Translate board-level vision into executable business strategy
- Lead annual strategy planning, 3-5 year roadmap, and transformation initiatives
- Evaluate M&A opportunities, partnerships, alliances, and inorganic growth
- Drive digital, operational, and structural transformations at scale
4. Operations & Execution Excellence
- Ensure seamless execution across sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, finance, and customer experience
- Build scalable processes, SOPs, and governance frameworks
- Improve operational efficiency, productivity, and unit economics
- Own delivery of top-line, bottom-line, and customer satisfaction metrics
5. Leadership & Organization Building
- Lead and mentor CXO / Functional Heads / Regional Business Leaders
- Build a strong leadership bench and succession pipeline
- Drive performance culture, accountability, and ownership mindset
- Align teams to business goals using OKRs / KPIs / Balanced Scorecards
6. Governance, Risk & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure compliance, governance, and risk management
- Present business performance to Board, Investors, and Senior Stakeholders
- Manage external stakeholders including banks, partners, regulators, and vendors
- Act as a key custodian of brand reputation and corporate ethics
Education & Experience
- MBA / PGDM from a reputed institute (preferred)
- 15-18 years of experience in large-scale businesses
- Must have handled P&L for businesses with - 500 Cr+ revenue
- Experience managing multi-location / multi-channel operations
- Proven track record of scaling businesses profitably
- Experience working with Boards, Investors, or PE-backed environments preferred
Reporting To
- You will report to the CEO of EBG Group
Working Days
- Monday to Saturday Working (6 days a week), Timings - 10 am to 7pm
Joining Time
- Within Max 30 days.
Reporting Office
- You will be based at our new EBG Group Central Office, Hitec City Area, Hyderabad
