Position Summary
The Production Scheduler is a critical role within our supply chain team, responsible for developing and maintaining the production schedules across multiple manufacturing locations to meet both domestic and international customer demand.
This position requires a strategic thinker who can expertly balance Make-to-Stock (MTS) weekly scheduling for our domestic market with Make-to-Order (MTO) monthly planning & scheduling for our export customers.
The successful candidate will be the central point for coordinating production and material flow across multiple manufacturing plants, including the complex scheduling of semi-finished and finished goods transfers between facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Create and maintain the monthly production plan aligning with capacity constraints for Make to-Order (Export) and prioritizing production based on dispatch teams requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule the inter-plant transfer of semi-finished goods (SFG) and finished goods (FG) to ensure a seamless flow of materials and minimize production downtime.
- Analyse capacity constraints (machines, labour, materials) and proactively work with plant management to find solutions and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Release manufacturing schedules to the production floor in a timely manner.
- Monitor schedule adherence and provide daily/weekly & monthly updates on production status, highlighting any risks to meeting the plan.
Inventory & Material Management
- Work closely with PM & RM teams to ensure raw material availability aligns with the production schedule.
- Regularly update PM Master file, RM Master file & SF Master files & Calculation sheets to
sustain and improve the system
Coordination & Communication
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, providing input on production capabilities and constraints.
- Communicate effectively with plant managers and supervisors to ensure schedule feasibility and address production issues.
- Provide accurate and timely delivery date commitments for export (MTO) orders
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role
within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with both Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) production environments.
- Direct experience scheduling production across multiple manufacturing sites or plants.
- High proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of production capacity planning and inventory management principles.

Working Conditions
