Role Overview:
The Family Office Relationship Manager (DVP/VP) is responsible for building and managing relationships with family offices across India. By fostering deep, long-term relationships, you will directly influence the financial stability and legacy goals of the families we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end client relationships for ultra-high-net-worth family offices across India to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention. Map key stakeholders within each family office (CIOs/Investment Head/Promoters).
- Oversee complex family office operations, including consolidated reporting, cash flow management, and administrative coordination for client entities.
- Maintain strong pipeline of active and prospective promotors.
- Create a structured coverage model (Tier 1 / Tier 2 family offices).
- Coordinate with internal portfolio management teams to align investment strategies with the specific risk appetite and liquidity requirements of each family.
- Provide strategic guidance on estate planning, trust structures, and philanthropic initiatives to facilitate seamless intergenerational wealth transfer.
- Monitor global market trends and asset class performance to provide timely, actionable insights that support informed decision-making for clients.
- Resolve escalated client queries by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain the firm's reputation for excellence and reliability.
Required Skillset:
- Possess 10 to 25 years of extensive experience in wealth management and family office environments, demonstrating a deep understanding of the UHNW segment.
- Identify Family Office that will participate in Equity QIPs and NCDs.
- Once legal go ahead on doing fee based income is attained then:
1. Identify investment appetite (equity Vs Debt, Ticket size, sector preference).
2. Match investments opportunities with relevant family offices.
3. Drive end to end deal execution - from deal to closure.
4. Maintain strong follow-ups to convert soft commitments into firm allocations.
Strategic Relationship Management:
1. Stage I:
- Position the firm as a preferred issuer / partner for family offices.
2. Stage II:
- Once legal go-ahead on doing fee-based income is attained, then:
i. Share curated deal flow, market insights, and exclusive opportunities.
ii. Organize investor roundtables, closed-door meets, and thematic sessions.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong network within Indian family office ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of:
i. Equity capital markets (ECM).
ii. Debt capital markets (DCM).
- High credibility and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing ability.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership-driven approach.
- Show a high level of adaptability to an on-site work environment in Mumbai, maintaining a proactive approach to client service and internal team collaboration.
