About Duroflex

Duroflex is one of India's leading sleep and mattress companies, with a heritage built over six decades and two brands, Duroflex and Sleepyhead. We sell across B2B, General Trade and a fast-growing Direct-to-Consumer business. The D2C business is genuinely omnichannel: a consumer might research on one of our websites, visit a company-operated experience store, talk to our assisted-sales team, and buy on a marketplace. Our data has to follow that journey across every channel.

Technology and data sit at the centre of this growth. We run a modern technology stack and have built a unified first-party consumer data foundation. We are now investing to make data and AI part of how the business makes day-to-day decisions, from consumer marketing through to operations and planning.

The Role

We are looking for a Head of Data to own and lead our entire data function, spanning data engineering, analytics and insights, and applied AI. It is a hands-on leadership role. You will set technical direction, lead two specialist teams, and partner directly with business leaders to turn data into decisions.

A large part of the challenge is the omnichannel nature of the business. Knitting online and offline behaviour into a single, trustworthy view of the consumer is the hard problem, and the foundation everything else builds on. You will own the New Age Data Analytics Platform on Snowflake, from architecture through to self-serve adoption, and build a central capability that brings AI into everyday business workflows. You will report to the CIO.

What You Will Own

- Data platform. Build, scale and own our cloud data platform on Snowflake. This covers architecture, data modelling, pipelines, governance and cost, and consolidating from legacy infrastructure into a single AI-ready foundation.

- The omnichannel consumer view. Build and maintain a single, reliable view of the consumer that stitches behaviour across web, stores, marketplaces and assisted sales. This omnichannel data layer is the backbone of how we understand and serve customers.

- Analytics & insights. Move the analytics function from a reporting service to a strategic partner. Deliver insight rather than dashboards, enable business users to query data themselves, and embed predictive models into key processes.

- Operational & planning analytics. Serve the planning and operational side of the business, not just consumer marketing. Demand and inventory planning, store and channel performance, and other operational decision cycles all depend on data the function provides.

- Applied AI. Build a central data and AI capability that gives every function the platform, tooling and guardrails to put AI use cases into production.

- Team leadership. Lead two specialist sub-teams, data engineering and analytics/insights. Set standards, grow capability, and own delivery across both.

- Automation & orchestration. Own the workflow automation and orchestration layer that connects our data and business systems, and keep it reliable, documented and maintainable.

- Governance. Own data quality, access governance, and the responsible use of AI across the function.

What We Are Looking For

- Experience. 10 to 14 years in data, with at least 3 years leading a data team.

- Breadth. Real hands-on depth across both data engineering and analytics. You should be equally credible talking about pipelines, data modelling and warehousing, and about insight delivery, self-serve and business partnering. A pure-engineering or pure-BI background is not what this role needs.

- Omnichannel. You understand the data challenge of a business that sells both online and offline. Experience stitching cross-channel consumer behaviour, and handling the measurement problems that come with it, is a strong advantage.

- Platform. Strong hands-on competency with Snowflake, or a directly comparable cloud data platform, and a modern data stack. Familiarity with in-platform AI and ML capability is a plus.

- Delivery. You have shipped analytics and AI use cases into production that changed a business outcome. Proofs of concept that never went live do not count.

- Domain. Experience in a consumer, retail or D2C business is strongly preferred. If consumer data concepts like LTV, cohorts, CAC and attribution are second nature to you, you will move faster.

- Operating style. You set direction but stay close to the work. You are comfortable in a lean, fast-moving environment where the leader is still hands-on.

- Education. A degree in computer science, engineering, statistics or a related field, ideally from a premier institute. An MBA or equivalent business grounding is a plus.

Tools & Environment

You will work with, and shape, a stack that includes Snowflake as the data platform, Power BI for visualisation, and a consumer data foundation integrated with our marketing, contact-centre and commerce systems. The platform is built to support AI natively, with in-platform model capability and connectivity to modern AI tooling.

Why This Role

You own the whole data function: platform, insights and AI, with a direct line to the CIO and visibility with senior business leaders.

The foundation already exists. You are not starting from zero. You are scaling a function the business is actively investing behind.

It is a genuine build-and-lead role at a company where data and AI are a stated priority, with budget and executive sponsorship behind them.
